It is with deep sadness that Rawtenstall Cricket Club has received the news of the passing of Duncan Ramsbottom.
Duncan played for Rawtenstall over a period of 10 years from 1962 -1972 and was a key member of the teams that were runners up in the Lancashire League in1967 and 1968.
Over his 10 years in the first eleven Duncan scored 677 runs in the 68 league matches played. His top score was 55 in the game against Enfield at The Worswick Memorial Ground in 1965,
Duncan also played 4 Worsley Cup games where he achieved his highest score for the club 59 not out against Accrington in a first round victory on 7th May 1972 again at The Worswick Memorial Ground.
Details of his funeral are yet to be announced. Sincere condolences go to his family and friends from everyone associated with Rawtenstall Cricket Club.
