Rawtenstall Cricket Club professional Anuk Fernando has committed his short term future to the club by signing an extension on his existing contract for the 2025 season. The 28 year year old is enjoying life in the Rossendale Valley and was easily persuaded by the committee to put pen to paper on another season long contract.

Talking to the Club Chairman Vinny Hanson, he said;
"We are delighted to secure the services of Anuk once again for the 2025 season. He has made a huge impact both on and off the field and is very popular with the senior players, members and has had a big impact on our younger players and junior members in particular."
During the exchange of contracts the Club Chairman continued to praise the Sri Lankan professional for his commitments to the club and concluded by saying. "We wish Anuk good luck for the rest of the season, and we look forward to welcoming him and Kalani back next year!"
